4th Annual Sharkfest Was a Huge Success!
SHARKFEST'11 has come and gone, and proven to be another successful forum for Wireshark information exchange and knowledge-sharing. From Steve McCanne's Keynote on "The Architecture and Optimization Methodology of the libpcap Packet Capture Library", to Gerald Combs insight into the current and future direction of the Wireshark project, to Hands-On Labs by Laura Chappell, Jeff Carrell and Betty DuBois, to multiple IPv6, application performance analysis and other network analysis and monitoring sessions, the conference seems to have been a rich educational experience for all.

Riverbed announces SHARKFEST '11 opening keynote session! This session will be delivered by Steve McCanne, co-founder and CTO of Riverbed Technology, and author, along with Van Jacobson and Craig Leres, of tcpdump, a powerful command-line packet analyzer. Dr. McCanne will speak on "The Architecture and Optimization Methodology of the libpcap Packet Capture Library".

Betty DuBois is a Wireshark University Instructor, creator of the "Network Mystery" series of videos featured on the wireshark.org site, and network trainer/consultant for hire.
